If you want a tank of a product built by true craftsmen, look no further. Excellent design, clearly built to last, and superior performance. One note, the noise level is high. I would recommend using this outdoors rather than in the kitchen sink. But that is a small price to pay for excellence. The simplicity of the dash is, in my opinion, a great boon to this product. Easy to install, remove, and clean. Know that this is the last money you need to spend on a freezer. A note on efficiency, the space between the tub and can is very tight. I found myself using less ice than I expected with this freezer, but still achieving completed ice cream within 15 minutes. I threaded the weep hole and installed a drain elbow to keep salt water from dripping down the exterior of the tub to guard the finish. I also purchased a current meter to dial in the energy draw of the motor. This helps pinpoint and replicate the exact power draw when the ice cream is done.
